MOJI’S STEM SUCCESS STORY
Moji, born in 2006, is a Black/African American woman pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with plans to graduate in May 2025. Her journey into STEM+C began after moving to the United States, where she was introduced to computer science through high school courses and a transformative experience with a Nigerian female teacher. Moji quickly discovered a passion for computing and has since committed herself to mastering the field. Her career aspirations include working in cybersecurity to build financial stability, with the ultimate goal of founding her own video game development studio. Moji’s story reflects a blend of ambition, adaptability, and a desire to create meaningful impact through technology.
Her faith journey is rooted in the principle, “I Can Do All Things Through Christ”, which reflects a deep personal faith that fuels her confidence and perseverance. Inspired by Philippians 4:13—“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”—Moji sees her academic and professional journey as a testament to God's divine empowerment. She believes that her talents and opportunities are gifts from God, and she strives to be a good steward of them. Her story encourages others to pursue their dreams boldly, trust in their purpose, and recognize that with faith in God and determination, they are equipped to overcome challenges and make a difference in the world.
