LINCOLN’S STEM SUCCESS STORY
Lincoln, born in 2003, is a Hispanic/Latino male pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with plans to graduate in May 2025. His journey into STEM began in second grade through a robotics class that sparked his curiosity and passion for technology. Despite early academic challenges and frequent school transitions, Lincoln found his stride in computer science, where he now aspires to work in cybersecurity. His long-term goal is to save enough to establish his own video game development studio—blending his technical skills with his creative passion for storytelling. Lincoln’s path reflects a deep commitment to personal growth, adaptability, and the pursuit of meaningful, purpose-driven work.
Lincoln’s faith journey is rooted in the principle, “Lift Up Those Around Me,” is rooted in the belief that success is most powerful when shared. Inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV) “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.—he views collaboration and compassion as essential to both life and STEM. Whether leading a cybersecurity project in high school or mentoring peers, Lincoln emphasizes the importance of community and mutual support. His story encourages others to pursue excellence not just for personal gain, but to uplift those around them—reminding us that when one person succeeds, everyone has the opportunity to rise.
